WHY I RETAINED A FORENSIC CIVIL ENGINEER.
I am a physician. I am trained to recognize when a question falls outside my field and requires a different expert. I am not a civil engineer.
I could document the ceiling collapse, water intrusion, unpermitted or unverified work, and the structural, electrical, ventilation, egress, and fire-safety questions. But documentation is not civil-engineering analysis. So I retained an independent forensic civil engineer to evaluate the record.
A final draft of the written analysis has been completed. Because it may be used in litigation, this is one piece of evidence I cannot release publicly. Its absence from this website is deliberate. It is not an absence of evidence.
The engineer's identity, methodology, findings, and report are not disclosed here.
